The 18-year-old from Rossoszyca has already reached the German Hockenheimring track, where the eighth and final round of the Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) will take place. Jan Przyrowski had the opportunity to get to know the facility during the first round of pre-season tests. Now it’s time for racing, during which the protégé of the ORLEN Motorsport Academy is counting on a strong finish of the 2026 season.
Hockenheimring: A highly technical and fast circuit
So far, the rounds at Spa-Francorchamps and Monza have been the team’s and the Polish driver’s best performances. Given the characteristics of the Hockenheimring—and the fact that pre-season pace suggested competitiveness within the top four—there is hope for a breakthrough and a chance to contend for higher positions. The circuit is a high-speed track measuring 4.574 km with 17 corners. Jan Przyrowski is set to give his all and capitalize on every opportunity that arises.
The Pole has already faced some challenging rounds where he and the Race Performance Motorsport team worked to find the right pace in the Tatuus T-326, aiming to replicate the results seen at the aforementioned tracks and in the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy. The round at Imola, held less than a week ago, did not yield any points. Despite the difficulties, Jan was the driver making the most overtakes in each race, managing to climb as many as seven positions. Improving qualifying pace and refining race strategy would certainly help in the fight for much higher finishes at the Hockenheimring. A battle for a top-10 spot in the overall standings is still underway, and two strong races could significantly alter the situation.
Jan Przyrowski aims to end the 2026 season on a high note
“The final round of the 2026 FREC season lies ahead of me. It has been a very challenging year so far for both me and the RPM team. We are all working hard and hoping for much better results. That is why I hope that at the Hockenheimring—a track I really grew to like during testing—we can recapture the form of our best performances. As always, I will give it my all; I hope we can end the season on a positive note and that I can climb the overall standings,” said Jan Przyrowski ahead of the round at the Hockenheimring.
