The driver from Rossoszyca took second place in the third race during the third round of the F4 Spanish Championship. From the very beginning, Jan Przyrowski showed a competitive pace and put pressure on his most dangerous rivals on the Portuguese Algarve track. After the aforementioned round, the protégé of the Academy Motorsport ORLEN is in third place in the general classification.

Bittersweet rivalry

Jan Przyrowski approached the Portimao round with a fighting attitude. He had already won in the E4 Spanish Winter Championship in Portugal on the Algarve track and ended the weekend there with a sense of dissatisfaction, because two races did not go his way. It seemed that nothing would happen twice and the Polish driver would have a chance for a hat-trick. Already in the first qualifying, when the 16-year-old almost took pole position for two races, it was clear that he was in a great position to attack.

Unfortunately, the first Saturday race did not go the way the driver from Rossoszyca had planned. After a fierce battle with his rivals, a tire puncture occurred, which meant a premature end to the competition on lap 8. It is worth noting that by the end of the race, none of the rivals beat the fastest lap time set by Jan in the first laps. The protégé of the Academy Motorsport ORLEN still had a busy Sunday ahead of him, which he managed to open in great style. The day began with a pole position in the second qualifying with an advantage of 0.224 seconds.

However, before the driver of Griffin Core by Campos lined up on the first field, he had to compete in the second race, which he started from the second field. The beginning of this competition did not go too well, because Jan Przyrowski was in 4th place and had to make up for the losses. Unfortunately, an unfortunate contact of the wheels with one of the rivals after one of the restarts meant a drop of several positions. Damage occurred, which made it difficult to continue the competition. In the end, he managed to reach the finish line (29th position).

Jan Przyrowski second in the final

There is still a third race to go. The Campos team mechanics did a great job preparing the Polish driver’s car. Jan Przyrowski fought a fierce battle with Ean Eyckmans and Thomas Strauven for the leading position. There was no shortage of bold and decisive overtaking maneuvers. Ultimately, the 16-year-old from Rossoszyca finished second. In this way, he ended the weekend in Portugal, scoring 20 points (18 for the 3rd race and 2 for pole position in Q2).

The Polish driver impressions after the third round

The weekend in Portimo ended quite bittersweetly, because I had very good pace the whole time. In the first qualifying I was second – 14 thousandths of a second from pole position, and in the second qualifying I won. In the first race I fought for first position, but unfortunately I had a puncture and because of that I did not finish the race. In the second race, there was contact with another competitor, with whom I was also racing, and this led to losses, because something happened to my suspension. In the third race, after the repair, we could no longer balance the car, so I did as much as I could and finished P2 – said Jan Przyrowski after the third round of the Spanish Formula 4 at the Algarve track in Portimao.

I would like to thank everyone who is with me and supports me. Of course, I would like to thank the ORLEN Motorsport Academy, Geothermal Solutions and Repiński Transport and the entire Campos team – added the 16-year-old from Rossoszyca.

Przyrowski third in the general standings

Currently, Jan Przyrowski is in 3rd place in the general standings with 110 points. Only the leader Thomas Strauven and the second Rene Lammers are ahead of our compatriot. Since the beginning of the 2025 season, these two competitors have been among the most dangerous rivals of the protégé of the Academy Motorsport ORLEN.

F4 Spanish Championship returns this month

On June 20-22, Jan Przyrowski will fight for the best results at the French Paul Ricard track. In the 2024 season, the Polish driver showed very good pace there, setting, among other things, the fastest lap time in the race. Now the goal is to fight for pole position and victories.
