Good qualifying laps and great starts were not enough to achieve good results due to a number of external factors that prevented Jan Przyrowski from scoring points.
The weekend started with a test day in which Jan Przyrowski acclimatised to the track and adapted the set-up for the following days.
The pace in free practice on Saturday was encouraging. However, in qualifying Jan Przyrowski finished 12th. As soon as he got out of the car, the Polish driver got to work with his engineers to correct the car’s behaviour and make it more competitive.
Saturday’s race started well. Jan Przyrowski gained positions at the start and was in the top 5. The pace was very competitive until a puncture forced him to retire.
The second qualifying of the weekend, already on Sunday, showed the potential of Jan Przyrowski in Valencia. He set the seventh fastest time.
At the start, a clutch problem relegated him to the last position. From there he started to close the gap to rejoin the group again and made up the gap lap by lap until he crossed the finish line in 27th position. His best lap was the eighth fastest of the race and his pace was similar to those at the front of the field.
Finally, in the last race, he was tenth, closing an adverse weekend where external factors prevented Jan Przyrowski from achieving good results.
The next round will be in Jerez, where Jan Przyrowski will again be aiming for everything and will come with extra motivation to make up for this difficult weekend.
Jan Przyrowski: It wasn’t a good day in Valencia. Practice wasn’t bad, there was a good pace. But in qualifying that pace was gone. I had a good start in the first race but I had a puncture, I didn’t touch anyone. It was very unfortunate. On Sunday we were unlucky again with technical problems.’
